I am a Software Engineer based in NYC working in the startup space - currently RapidSOS. I work mainly in Python, Docker, Flask Kubernetes, and AWS. Have limited proficiency in React and Javascript. I'm super passionate about products that serve a real world need and bridging my passions and interests with technology.

Work Experience

Backend Software Engineer II - RapidSOS

New York, NY- June 2023 - January 2025

• Main backend developer to fulfill requirements of a multi-million ARR train deal. Built backend API to send train incidents to first responder phone.
• Led architecture proposal, development, and oversaw release of new external chat websocket API used to initiate chat between emergency dispatchers and clients. Project directly enabled several hundreds of thousands in ARR.
• Designed and implemented fullstack project to allow map spatial object management using React and Python with changes to Postgres DB modeling. Part of critical ARR deal for large multinational partner.

Backend Software Engineer - RapidSOS

New York, NY- June 2021 - June 2023

• Served as the main Python backend developer for one of our major products accounting for millions in ARR. Handled production outages, refactor implementation, and core implementation.
• Proposed and developed a project to improve system stability. Revamped Elasticsearch log management stack by reducing 5 million unneeded logs per month and saving $1,300 per month.
• Built logic to provide critical emergency alerts during active school shootings. Responsible for creating a new emergency alert type, facilitating end to end regression testing, and overseeing production release.

Software Engineer Intern - RapidSOS

New York, NY- June 2020 - August 2020

• Implemented sales tools to improve lookup for RapidSOS covered 911 centers using GIS data querying.
• Supported the sales team in consolidating critical deal information through development of coverage lookup tool

Software Engineer Intern - NAVSEA NWSC Carderock

New York, NY- May 2019 - July 2019

• Implemented UI for a Naval ship design software using in-company library and framework.
• Developed an equation calculation class and test cases for a graph dependency library for in-company framework.

My Climbing Journal

A training journal for climbers to store and track progress. Backend API implemented in Node.js, frontend implemented in React, and Mongodb as the database. Continuous deployment using Github actions, Docker, and Docker-Compose onto a Raspberry Pi. Integrated authentication using Clerk
